Miniature Nursery Roombox

I made this Nursery Roombox last summer and took it to the show and sale in September and tried to sell it there, but alas there were no bites. Good thing I am so in love with it myself! I decided to list it on Etsy, and perhaps I will list it on ebay as well. In the spring I will be having a small show of my work at a local Art supply store. The owner of the store is very nice and she made this generous offer to me.

At the end of the end, I must remind myself that I make miniatures as a lovely pastime, and not to get too caught up in whether they sell or not. I hope this post finds all my lovely blogging friends well. We have had no snow here yet, which is rather unusual. There is snow in the forecast for Sunday though.

    Your room is very cute! Just a suggestion maybe add just a few more things and make it like the nursery I had when I had little ones.
    There was lots of baby stuff all around including a changing table, diapers, bottles you name it! :-)

      Aww thanks Brini! Minis are so addictive...but they are only as expensive as you let them be! I find it fun to make as much as I can myself

    Hi Ruth! I am so glad that you are back in blogland! I have missed you, my dear. Your little nursery is charming and the accessories you have chosen are really lovely! Sometimes an item doesn't sell because it is waiting for that one special person who will cherish it as much as you do. Waiting is hard , I know, but your Prince or Princess Charming will come along and swoop that little nursery into their arms and Then you will know that it will be going to the right home!:))

    The most ironic part of being a mini addict and selling items is, usually for every few items we do sell...we just buy back threefolds worth *lolzzz*

    You are so right, focus on the fun part making them and not the selling part =) But I have big problems with that myself =) If I plan to sell something I get very nervous if its good enough.. But I will try focus on the fun in the making, and think of it as a bonus if I sell something sometime =) It's a bit crowded saving everything I make, but at the same time I have a hard time selling it, I want to keep almost everything ;)
    Your roombox is very sweet, I like the fact that you can open the door like that. Hannah

    Some of the dollhouses I made took 3 years to sell. So don't lose hope. They will sell. This roombox is so cute. Just keep making them. And don't compare your work to others. That's my problem! Then I 2nd guess myself. LOL! It's your work people will want. And when you start being overwhelmed with orders you'll miss this time when you could work on what you like. Trust me! Enjoy this time. It's your time to learn, figure out your style and bring it out in your favorite projects.
